Vivint alarm calls: legit alert or scam? - +1 801-227-7000 ((801) 227-7000)
概要 — +18012277000
専門家の見解
The number +18012277000 shows up most often linked to Vivint, a major home‑security brand that used to operate as AP X Alarm. Callers usually claim there’s an alert on your alarm panel, a smoke detector trigger, or a system malfunction. While some of these are genuine monitoring calls, a lot of reports describe the same script being used to scare people into calling back – a classic scam technique. If you didn’t request service, let the call go to voicemail, verify the callback number on your own bill, and never give personal info over the phone. When in doubt, contact Vivint directly through the number on your account statement.

Contrary to claims, this number is not associated with VIVINT alarm or security systems, but rather individuals impersonating representatives, and caution is advised to avoid potential identity theft.

Although the exact nature of the scam is unclear, someone from this number called my wife twice, inquiring about our friends and using incorrect information. After being told she was uncomfortable discussing the matter, they called back, prompting my wife to hang up again. It's possible that this is related to Vivant home security or a fake caller ID. I attempted to call the number back, but the hold time was excessively long. My advice would be to avoid answering calls from this number unless you have an existing relationship with Vivant.
