The question remains whether this call is genuinely from the Social Security Administration or a case of number spoofing
Is That Social Security Call a Scam? - +1 800-772-1213 ((800) 772-1213)
概要 — +18007721213
専門家の見解
Calls claiming a warrant for your arrest often turn out to be scams targeting Social Security numbers. The 1‑800‑772‑1213 line is the legitimate SSA number, yet fraudsters frequently spoof it to harvest personal information or threaten legal action. Never share your SSN, bank details, or passwords over the phone; instead, hang up and call the official SSA line yourself using the number listed on the agency’s website. Monitor your credit and benefits statements for any unauthorized activity, use call‑blocking tools, and report suspicious calls to the FTC. Staying cautious keeps your identity safe.
