Caution: unexpected survey calls from this number often turn out to be scams. Many recipients report a pre‑recorded voice asking you to press 1 or 2 to confirm whether you have a landline or a cell phone, then hanging up as soon as you respond. Never press any keys, and avoid providing personal details. If you’re curious, let the call go to voicemail and review the message before deciding. Use your phone’s built‑in block feature or a third‑party app to stop future rings. Report the number to your carrier or a consumer‑protection agency to help flag the source. Staying silent and blocking are the safest steps.

it is reasonable to assume that large companies outsource tasks like this, and upon reviewing the posts, it becomes clear that the older ones are outdated, while the recent one discusses cell phone usage, highlighting the importance of reading all posts to gain a thorough understanding

This could potentially be a legitimate call, possibly related to a pre-Covid research project on asthma, as the number is associated with the UBC Lung Centre, although the caller's email address was provided without spelling out their name.
