Ever wonder why a call claiming to be from American Power & Gas feels more like a pressure‑sale than a service inquiry? The pattern shows a scripted script, frequent use of “rebate” or “rate reduction” excuses, and aggressive follow‑ups that ignore a clear “no.” Callers often spoof the 1‑800‑210‑9011 number, switch accents, and refuse to leave a name, which are classic scam tactics. Hang up, block the number, and report the incident to the FTC or your state’s consumer protection agency. Never share account details or payment info, and keep a log of extensions for future reference.
