Opinia expertului
Yesterday afternoon, a stranger’s number lit up your screen, only to disappear without a voicemail. Those repetitive, automated calls claiming a city‑hall COVID or police survey are a classic robocall scam. They rely on curiosity and the urgency of public‑health messages to get you to press a button or share info. The safest move is to let the call go to voicemail, then verify any request through official channels—official websites, known phone numbers, or directly at your local government office. Consider adding the number to your carrier’s spam block list, and if the calls persist, report them to the FTC or your provincial consumer protection agency. Staying cautious keeps your data secure.
