Думка експерта
Around dusk on a typical weekday, your phone rings with an unfamiliar number that quickly drops into voicemail. Most users report the caller is tied to Virgin Mobile’s voicemail forwarding service, but the messages often contain threats, fake police or tax notices, and demand money – classic signs of a scam. Avoid engaging; never share personal or financial details. Block the number through your carrier’s spam‑filter or a third‑party app, and add it to your blacklist. If the calls persist, file a complaint with the CCTS or your telecom provider. Staying vigilant and cutting off the line are the quickest ways to stop the nuisance.

Following the recovery of my phone, I discovered that this number was the last one dialled, with nine calls made on October 7, 2022, at 11:59, according to my service provider's records. When I tried calling this number from a different phone, all I got was a busy signal, with no option to leave a voicemail.

This number is utilized when a caller opts for a private number through their provider, and it does not appear to be associated with scammers or telemarketers. A test was conducted, and when the private caller setting was removed, the actual number was displayed, confirming this theory.
