If you keep getting texts that say something like "click here to listen to a full voicemail" and then dump a weird number to call, you’re dealing with a classic scam. These fraudsters spoof legitimate brands—Amazon, Duke Energy, H&R Block, even your school—to make you panic and dial back. The call usually leads to an automated greeting or a dead line, but the real goal is to harvest your personal info or charge you for a bogus service. Hang up, block the number, and never enter credit‑card details on a callback. Report the abuse to your carrier and the FTC.
