Мнение эксперта
Never give out personal data to a caller you didn't expect. These 416‑area numbers repeatedly pose as TD bank representatives, offering a so‑called identity theft protection or free credit reports that quickly turn into paid services. Callers often know your name and postal code, which makes the scam feel legitimate, but the request for full address, DOB, or credit‑card details is a red flag. Hang up immediately, block the number, and report the incident to the DNCL or your local consumer‑protection agency. Avoid sharing any information until you independently verify the organization through official channels.
