Expert Opinion
Block the number and file a complaint with the FTC and your state Attorney General; reporting each unwanted call builds a case that may trigger enforcement. Use your phone’s built‑in spam filter or a third‑party app to automatically silence calls that spoof local prefixes. Register your line on the National Do‑Not‑Call Registry if you haven’t already, and keep a log of dates, times, and any recorded prompts to share with authorities. Remember, callers often hide behind offshore call centers, so tracing the original source is difficult, but consistent documentation helps regulators act faster.
